"Nice for stumbling on local deals"
I mostly use Yelp when I’m in that mood where I want to go somewhere but also not spend too much. It’s easy to notice when a place has a discount or special going on, which has definitely helped me a few times. I still remember finding a little dinner deal one night when I was tired and trying to keep things cheap, and it made my day. That said, some businesses don’t seem to update their offers, so I always double-check before heading over. It could be a bit clearer, but overall it’s been useful

"I really like that they show up..."
I really like that they show up for local events and actually remember the people who come in regularly. It feels like they care about the neighborhood, not just making sales. Everyone’s friendly, and it’s just a really easy place to support.

My snap judgment is that the filters are mostly fair. Yeah, some reviews do get hidden, which is a little annoying, but overall it doesn’t feel wildly unfair or anything...

"Helpful and quick support"
I had a small issue with my order, but support got back to me quickly. They answered my questions clearly and got it fixed without a lot of back and forth. It was simple, useful, and made the whole thing easy to deal with. I’m happy with the service and would use them again

"Easy way to get a quick quote"
I just wanted a quick ballpark without overthinking it, and this made it easy. I figured if a few people replied fast, that was a good sign, and most of them did. One response came in a bit late, but overall it worked well and saved me some time.

I like that the account settings aren’t buried somewhere stupid. I can find what I need without clicking around forever, and the privacy options are right there too. I don’t get that sketchy feeling like my data is being messed with behind the scenes. It’s been solid overall

"Still my go-to when I need something nearby"
I used Yelp again just last weekend while I was in a part of town I didn’t know well, and it helped me find a solid lunch spot quickly. That’s usually how I use it, if I need food, coffee, or some random service nearby, I’ll check what’s close and skim the recent reviews first. The newer reviews definitely matter more to me since they give a better idea of what the place is like right now. Sometimes the hours aren’t totally accurate, and a few reviews can be overly dramatic, but overall it’s been really useful. I’d give it 4 stars.

"I’m actually happy with how Yelp handles..."
I’m actually happy with how Yelp handles notifications. I still get the important stuff, like when someone messages me or there’s an update for a place I saved, but it’s not constantly buzzing and making me feel like I’m losing my peace of mind all day.

A lot of apps push it too far, and then I end up turning everything off and missing things I actually wanted to know about. With Yelp, I tweaked a few settings and now it only alerts me about things I care about. Simple, useful, and not annoying. 5 stars from me...

"Easy to Use and Better Local Reach Than Others"
I tried running a small Yelp ad for my shop, and it was simple to get everything set up. Compared to a few other ad platforms I’ve used, the budget controls felt a lot easier to understand, and I liked being able to see where the calls and clicks were coming from. Not every lead turned into a great customer, but that’s kind of expected with any advertising. Overall, it did help get more local people to notice us, and I’d say it felt more straightforward than some of the bigger competitors.

Kind of a small thing, but it mattered. I checked the hours first. Then the address. Phone number too. Everything matched, no outdated info or random surprise when I got there. just made the whole thing easier. I really appreciate when a business keeps their page updated.

"I use Yelp often when..."
I use Yelp often when I’m out wandering around or trying to find somewhere nearby, and the map and directions feature is one of the things I appreciate the most. It works really smoothly for me. I can look up a place, tap for directions, and it opens right up in my maps app without any hassle. It’s especially helpful when I’m in an area I don’t know very well and don’t want to waste time guessing where something is. I’ve been able to find places quickly because of it, which makes the whole experience a lot less stressful

"Pretty helpful photos overall..."
The photos on Yelp are usually clear and give me a quick idea of what to expect... which definitely helps when I’m trying to decide. Every now and then some pics are a little blurry, so it’s not perfect, but overall they’re still really useful.

“As far i can see users are allowed to go onto yelp and make reviews. Now if the reviews are turthful reviews is the question. As for the company in my personal opinion it is not beneficial to a company to spend their advertising dollars with this company. Their cost per click program does not work out at the rates that the employees sell you on. They do not guarantee sales as others do. They advertise other companies on your page in a way that leads customers away from you. In my opinion if a company pays to advertise with you then you shpould not be showing other companies information on their page anywhere. Not even as a little spot that says other customers also looked at these companies. That is stearing them away from the page they are on. Also the advertising so called budget is used up in the first 2 weeks of your month, and can be used up very quickly by competors and their employees that have mutiple ip addresses. There are com[anoes out there like FAre Harbor, Groupon, Living Social and so on that only charge you if the customer purchases the items from you. To look at a deal should be free after all they are only reading it and then yelp is also telling them to check out other companies at the same time. You don't see McDonalds telling its online guests to also check out Burger king. So yes i think yelp is a scam for business, and also a way for someone to give faults reviews about a company that are not at all easy to remove. I say as a business owner save your money and ask all of your guests to review you on google also don't promote Yelp.”

Just looked at all these positive reviews about yelp. almost all of them are not even about yelp!!! come on sitejabber - get with the program!
